In the upcoming update of Shop-Script (which will be named WebAsyst Shopping Cart after it is released) we plan to add new functions:

• adding orders from your store backend (great for phone orders)
• editing existing orders information and content
• editing customer information
• discounts for returning customers (discounts are calculated based on the total amount of all customer’s purchases)
• ability to view customer’s address on a map and get directions how to get there (powered by Google Maps)
• everything else that was already announced (all features of WebAsyst Shopping cart web-service, discount coupons)

When new version is released, we will publish a full list of upgrades.

Due to release of new functions listed above and some unexpected difficulties with the release (one of these is unstable function on IIS server — we are working on this now), we have to delay release for a couple of weeks.

As we wrote earlier, all our existing customers will get access to the new version for free.

It will not require copying files manually and altering database structure to install update — this will be automated.

We have revised and significantly enhanced WebAsyst Projects service. Task list is now implemented using AJAX and become as supple as a desktop program.

What we have added:

1. Add/Edit Task forms work fast without reloading task list page.
2. Inline editing of task description and dates right in the task list.
3. Gantt Chart displays an entire project picture in an elegant usable way.
4. Sorting by one click in a column’s title.
5. Columns show/hide function. Just click a column’s title to pull down a local menu and customize your task view.
6. Columns drag&drop to change it’s place in the table.
7. Printer-Friendly Version of the task list.
