Changing of the Licensing Policy

The reduced prices reflect our new policy: each WebAsyst software license is valid for a single database only. Previously, we sold our software at a higher price for one server license, which would support multiple databases. The main reason we have changed to single-database licensing is our new technological concept – public front-end in WebAsyst - which will give customers a better user experience, but with which is not technically feasible to handle multiple databases.

Multiple database support for existing licensed customers

For existing customers who have purchased multi-database licenses, we will be offering at no charge a special patch script which will allow them to create multiple databases from new WebAsyst installations. In practical terms, this means that these customers may purchase new WebAsyst applications at the reduced “one-database” prices and still use the applications on their multiple databases.

The patch is a limited time offer, valid until June 17, 2009. After that date, we will be unable to deliver the multi-database patch.

New Upgrade Policy

The new sales policy includes a year of free upgrades from the date of purchase. After one year, additional yearly upgrades may be purchased at
25% of the original purchase price.

All customers who previously purchased WebAsyst software will continue to receive free upgrades until June 17, 2009.

Of course, customers who have multiple databases may use existing WebAsyst scripts without further upgrades after June 17, 2009. However, if they wish to receive upgrades after that date, customers will have to switch to single-database license(s).

Important Note: Hosted customers are not affected by this change. The information in this message is relevant only to WebAsyst customers who purchased our software (php source code) and installed it on their own servers.

WebAsyst Shopping Cart update

webmaster — June 3, 2008

We added several useful functions to WebAsyst Shopping Cart online store builder service:

9 new design templates.
New design templates are available in your online store backend on “Design” screen.

Discount coupons.
Create coupon codes and send them in email or post anywhere to attract customers and increase sales. When placing an order your clients will be asked to enter code and receive discount applicable. Codes can be set up for single or many times use. Discount can be set as both percentage of the order or fixed amount. To encourage your customers offer expiration date can be set as well. Discount coupons can be managed in “Orders” - “Discount Coupons” screen of your store backend.

Accumulative discounts feature.
WebAsyst Shop-Script allows you to set up automated discount calculation based on customer’s total order history. This is a great incentive for your clients to come back once again and place another order.

Improved performance.
Your store backend will now load faster. In the future we plan to continue performance optimization and make software work even faster.

Order editing.
Assigned administrators will be able to change customer’s order contents if necessary. This is handy if customers change their minds or you need to add something to their order during follow-up.

Placing orders from backend.
If your business started as order-by-phone you can still accept them and keep all your sales information on the internet without having to keep several simultaneous sale records. Great for phone orders.

Customer contact information is editable.
Typos, changing area codes or emails can be kept in shape and up to date by administrator.

Mapping your customers.
Find your clients location using integration with Google Maps, only one click away.

Delivery route planning.
You can even plan your courier’s trip from your warehouse to customer’s door. Very useful for inner city orders. Powered by Google Maps as well.
